Walker Gardens

Notices

Want to escape the busyness of modern life for an afternoon of peace and tranquility amid beautiful surroundings? We've got just what you need...

The Walker Gardens are stunning walled gardens where you can while away the hours and enjoy natures display all year round. It's that rare breed of places that's both a hidden gem and a firm favourite.

Due to their size you'll always have a space to call your own. The gardens are popular with people of all ages looking for a gorgeous place to stroll through or settle down for a picnic.

Kitchen garden goodies

Friends of Haigh Walled Kitchen Garden are a group of volunteers that look after the gardens and keep them open to the public. They created a formal orchard area to maintain the heritage of the garden. Apple, pear, plum and more unusual varieties are grown together with a variety of fruit trees from peach to cherry and fig.

The garden produces seasonal vegetables, fruits and plants, which are made available to visitors in return for a donation. These donations help to sustain the garden enabling the purchase of new plants, trees and seeds for subsequent crops and the renewal of equipment.

Where can I find it?

You'll find the Walker Gardens from the main car park by passing the Kitchen Courtyard, the Ornamental pond, and the High Ropes Adventure on your right.

Then follow the path beyond the Crazy Golf course and the entrance to the Walker Gardens is just ahead.

Private hire for events

The Walker Gardens are available for private hire. We can support you with event planning and signpost you to food and drink providers and event infrastructure hire.
